While Halo is XBOX’s most iconic series, it’s also a franchise that’s losing momentum following the mixed reception of its latest installment. However, the American company will not abandon the series that made its name.

First, Windows Central reporter Jez Corden stated on X that Halo Studios is not at risk of closing. Microsoft is nevertheless reportedly evaluating very carefully how Halo is currently being managed.

Furthermore, insider Rebs Gaming added that one of the reasons behind upcoming layoffs and studio closures at XBOX is the increase in the budget allocated to Halo and other iconic franchises.

Thus, Halo is indeed part of Microsoft’s plans for the future.
