During a recent interview, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, revealed that players had opted for the Ultimate edition over the standard edition when pre-ordering GTA VI.

Now, data analytics company Sensor Tower reports that this $100 Ultimate Edition accounts for 89% of copies sold since pre-orders opened on June 25. More specifically, 90% of Xbox buyers chose this edition, compared to 88.5% on PS5.

Of course, this is only an initial trend, as the volume of pre-orders is expected to increase as the release of GTA VI on November 19, 2026, approaches, so the ratio could change over the coming weeks.
