Great news for fans of the franchise! Sucker Punch’s highly successful Ghost of Yōtei will receive a Complete Edition on October 1, 2026, for the PlayStation 5, marking the game’s first anniversary. The update includes a brand-new narrative expansion, a new single-player survival mode, and various fixes and improvements.

The narrative expansion is titled Echoes of Sekigahara and draws equally on the present and on flashbacks to Atsu’s past on the continent. Players will encounter Nagato, an iconic figure from the heroine’s past. New enemies and heavy weapons will be integral to the gameplay.

As for the new single-player survival mode, it will take the form of a roguelike. As you progress, defeating enemies will grant you bonuses and even additional playable characters. As shown in the trailer, Atsu excels with a pair of katanas, while Oyuki excels with the kusarigama, and Nagato shines with a yari.

For those who already own Ghost of Yōtei or its deluxe edition, an upgrade is available for €14.99. A pre-order bonus for this Complete Edition is also included: the Sakai armor set.
