Geralt of Rivia's voice actor is currently recording dialogue for The Witcher 3 expansion

A photo posted on the X platform shows Doug Cockle, the official voice actor for Geralt of Rivia in all three installments of The Witcher and the animation film The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep recording new dialogues. This post suggests that he’ll still be on board for the franchise’s upcoming content.

"Oh, don’t mind me… I’m visiting an old friend… and of course Roach."

This prompted the official The Witcher account to respond: "The Witcher and Roach are back on the road." While some may be wondering if this refers to the highly anticipated The Witcher 4, the answer is most likely no. It’s still far too early to record voiceovers for a game like this, as that step is always done late in the process, in case the game’s script ends up being modified.

Even though a remake has already been announced for the first game in the franchise, it’s fairly certain for that same reason that this photo is from a recording session not for that game, but for the upcoming expansion to The Witcher 3 called Songs of the Past.

Users have also noted with amusement that the shadows of Geralt and his horse on the sand seem to form a strange humanoid figure with a horse’s head. No need to get into far-fetched theories, it’s just a funny coincidence.
