FuturLab (PowerWash Simulator) has canceled a game and laid off employees
We have some bad news from FuturLab, the studio behind PowerWash Simulator and Velocity. The British company has decided to cancel a project currently in development.
The title in question is not related to the PowerWash Simulator franchise. Seven employees have also been laid off. In a statement, CEO Kirsty Rigden explained that the game was scrapped "while in pre-production, as it would have cost us more than it was projected to make. Continuing with it wouldn’t have been a sensible decision."
New ideas will be prototyped internally, and the teams remain fully focused on improvements and upcoming content for PowerWash Simulator 2.
