Formula 1 is doing things differently on consoles and PC this year. Players won’t be getting a new game, but rather a DLC for F1 25 that will update the content with additions from the current season.

In an interview with the PlayStation Blog, Mark Roberts of EA Sports also revealed that F1 25 will support the new version of PSSR on PS5 Pro with the launch of the “2026 Season Pack” on June 3. This will allow players to enjoy sharper image quality.

The Quality mode will feature ray tracing, dynamic global diffuse lighting, and ray-traced global illumination at 60 frames per second. As for the Performance mode, gameplay will run at 120 Hz on compatible displays. Finally, a third mode will allow the game to be displayed in 8K on TVs compatible with this format.
