Edge of Memories is coming out this year despite the closure of Midgar Studio
Last month, French developer Midgar Studio closed its doors just a few weeks before the release of Edge of Memories. This single-player action-RPG was originally scheduled for release on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC this year.
In a statement posted on social media, the game’s official account reconfirmed that the title is still set to launch this year. The content has already been finalized, and all that remains are the final improvements and tweaks across the various platforms.
The message also clarifies that the closure of Midgar was solely due to the financial problems of its publisher, Nacon, and not because of the game’s quality, the team’s work, or any profit-maximization strategy.
