Brütal Legend is a highly acclaimed action game from Double Fine Productions that came out for the PS3, XBOX 360, and PC back in October 2009. The excellent Jack Black starred as the hero in this game, which features a world that blends fantasy and heavy metal.

Unfortunately, much to the dismay of fans, no sequel was ever made for this excellent title. Now operating as indies, the team led by Tim Schafer seems to be opening the door to such a project. However, it will be quite a challenge to bring it to fruition.

Now independent once again, Double Fine has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund its next game. While the company hopes to raise at least €345,000, higher stretch goals are on the table. Brütal Legend 2 is one of them. To make it a reality, the developers are asking the community for $100 million. Suffice it to say, this stretch goal has almost no chance of being reached.

The crowdfunding campaign has so far raised nearly 285,000 €.
