Crytek (Crysis) has laid off part of its staff
It’s been a long time since we’ve heard from Crytek. The studio, best known for Crysis, Ryse: Son of Rome, and Hunt: Showdown, is apparently going through a very difficult period.
The website Insider Gaming reports that the German company has carried out several layoffs. The Istanbul-based quality assurance team has reportedly been laid off in its entirety. Departments dedicated to publishing, social media, and QA testing in Frankfurt have also been affected. In total, at least 30 people are said to have lost their jobs.
Crytek has yet to issue an official statement. It’s worth noting that the studio is still working on the next Crysis.
