Capcom posts an excellent quarter as Resident Evil Requiem surpasses 8 million in sales

Capcom is still in top form and getting excellent results! The Japanese publisher has released its financial results for the quarter that ended on June 30.

During this period, net sales reached 70.41 billion yen ($430 million), representing a 54.7% increase year-over-year. Operating income stood at 41.05 billion yen ($250 million), a 66.9% increase year-over-year. The Japanese company sold 23.81 million games over these three months, compared to 14.16 million during the same period in 2025.

This success was driven by Pragmata, which recently surpassed 2.5 million units sold worldwide. The Resident Evil series "continues to gain popularity with a broad global audience, while sales of previous titles in the series have also grown steadily thanks to pricing initiatives." It is against this backdrop that Resident Evil Requiem has surpassed 8 million copies sold.

What’s more, the remake of Resident Evil 2 is the best-selling title in the franchise with 19.75 million copies sold. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard stands at 18.41 million, Resident Evil 4 (2023) at 16.04 million, Resident Evil Village at 15.86 million, and Resident Evil 3 (2020) at 14.52 million.

Finally, Devil May Cry 5 is performing very well, with 1.29 million copies sold during the quarter, bringing its total sales to 14.24 million since its launch in 2019. This success is attributed in part to the Netflix series.
