It didn’t take long for the rumors to be confirmed, as Sony has just announced that a new State of Play will take place this same week!
The State of Play will air this Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. BST / 9 a.m. ET / 7 a.m. PT. This is an unusual time slot given the nature of the program. The first part will be a traditional State of Play featuring announcements from PlayStation Studios and partners. It will conclude with an in-depth look at Final Fantasy VII Revelation.
Following that, a State of Play Japan segment will offer an in-depth look at upcoming games from Japanese and Asian studios.
