Katsuhiro Harada (Tekken) announces the launch of SNK VS Studio
Last December, Katsuhiro Harada, known for having served as the director of the Tekken games for over 30 years, decided to leave Bandai Namco. However, this departure was by no means a retirement.
Harada himself has confirmed the creation of SNK VS Studio in Tokyo. He will serve as its CEO. This new studio is controlled by SNK Corporation.
« The philosophy of VS Studio is to transcend tradition to achieve perfection. We will combine technology, creativity, and world-class expertise to achieve excellence. In a free, open, and stimulating environment, we will generate new ideas and create memorable games. We founded this studio to bring this vision to life.
Having worked in video game development for many years, I have constantly reflected on how I wanted to spend my time as a developer and on the kind of environment that allows developers to perform at their best.
VS Studio is the answer to that question. By combining technology and expertise, and by collaborating with passionate colleagues, we aim to deliver the best gaming experiences to users around the world. »
