Known for recently launching the excellent Crimson Desert, Pearl Abyss also owned CCP Games, the Icelandic company behind Eve Online.

This week, Pearl Abyss sold the studio. The lucky buyers are the founders of CCP Games themselves, including Hilmar Petursson. The transaction is worth 177.132 billion Korean won, or approximately 102 million euros.

Pearl Abyss stated that this sale will help fund its internal productions, such as DokeV. CCP Games, for its part, was causing the South Korean firm to lose money, which prompted the sale. However, both companies say they remain on good terms and plan to collaborate in the near future.
