Under the leadership of its former president, Sarah Bond, Xbox announced in 2024 that its official store would launch on mobile devices this year. However, this strategy focused on smartphones and tablets now seems to be a thing of the past.

On X, the account @redphx noted that the URLs for the much-talked-about Xbox Mobile Store now lead to a 404 Error. During its testing phase, the store offered only Candy Crush and game-related perks.

Asha Sharma, the new head of Xbox, has apparently decided to shelve this project in order to focus on the brand’s consoles.
