Another iconic figure in the video game industry has left us. Yoshihisa Kishimoto passed away on April 2, 2026, at the age of 64. His son announced the sad news on X last Sunday.

Kishimoto is best known for being behind the Double Dragon and Kunio-kun series. He was one of the pioneers of the beat ’em up genre. He also worked on Cobra Command and Road Blaster.
