Valve finally dropped the news without warning! After weeks of waiting, the Steam Frame has finally arrived. Those interested can sign up right away (through September 17 at 6 p.m. BST) for a chance to purchase the headset. The first purchase emails will be sent on September 18.

As for pricing, the 256 GB version of the Steam Frame is priced at €1,049, and the 1 TB model at €1,279. The power adapter, which is not included with the headset, sells for €39. A Steam Deck power adapter or equivalent is compatible. The ergonomic accessory kit costs €69, and the replacement accessory kit costs €59.

As a reminder, the Steam Frame is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor – ARM64 4 nm processor, 16 GB of unified LPDDR5X RAM, a 21.6 Wh rechargeable Li-ion battery, and a 2160 x 2160 LCD screen (per eye) with a refresh rate ranging from 72 to 144 Hz. It runs on SteamOS 3 and features Bluetooth 5.4, a Wi-Fi 7 adapter, two speakers per ear, and two microphones.

Finally, a copy of the excellent Half-Life: Alyx is included.
