The PC version of Final Fantasy VII Revelation will run smoother than Rebirth
Square Enix is pulling out all the stops to promote Final Fantasy VII Revelation ahead of its scheduled April 8, 2027, launch on consoles and PC. Today, we’ll be focusing on the PC version.
In an interview with Wccftech, Naoki Hamaguchi, the game’s director, was asked about its compatibility with NVIDIA’s DLSS 5. While he didn’t provide a direct answer, he did note that Final Fantasy VII Revelation will offer a smoother experience on PC compared to that of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
"Please look forward to our future announcements on that. In terms of the PC version, we’re still working on the recommended specs. But we do have a goal to make the PC version run a lot more smoothly than Rebirth did, and we’re trying a lot of different things right now."
Hamaguchi also stated that most of the game’s development is being carried out on PS5 and PC. Finally, he added that no compromises will be made on less powerful machines, with a dedicated porting team set up.
