Naughty Dog no longer has any creative involvement in The Last of Us TV series
The third season of the TV series The Last of Us may be the most risky one yet from a creative standpoint. It seems Naughty Dog has withdrawn from the project so it can fully focus on its next title.
We already knew that Neil Druckmann, the studio’s creative director and president, was no longer contributing to the series. Now, several other key figures, such as Halley Gross and Ryan James, have confirmed their departures, which means that Naughty Dog no longer has any creative control over the adaptation.
Now, showrunner Craig Mazin is solely in charge. He’ll have the daunting task of wrapping up the story arc of The Last of Us Part II in Season 3.
