Since its release in March 2022, Gran Turismo 7 has received exemplary post-launch support from Polyphony Digital. The “Spec IV” update, which will introduce significant new features, will be rolled out starting in October.

Of course, we can assume that a new installment will eventually be released. We may have to wait for the PS6 to see it. However, the Japanese studio appears to be preparing its teams for the development of Gran Turismo 8.

In fact, Polyphony’s official website now features several job postings. One of them is for a vehicle simulation programmer. According to the job description, the selected candidate will "work to improve the vehicle simulation engine of the Gran Turismo series, and recreate mechanisms unique to individual cars." These improvements will likely be dedicated to the eighth installment of the series.
