Here’s a huge rumor to kick off the new week. The website MP1st has reported today that PlayStation has decided to bring back Killzone!

The FPS franchise, launched in 2004 on the PS2, was previously developed by Guerrilla Games, the studio now known for Horizon. The Dutch developer is reportedly involved in this Killzone remaster/remake, which has allegedly been entrusted to a studio outside of Sony. Although less likely, a complete reboot cannot be ruled out either.

Furthermore, MP1st believes that People Can Fly is at the helm of the project. This Polish studio is known for creating Bulletstorm and Outriders. It has also contributed to the development of several titles in the Gears of War series.

The latest entry in the series is currently Killzone: Shadow Fall, which released for the PS4 back in November 2013.
