CD Projekt RED has over 1,000 employes now and prepares three The Witcher releases

CD Projekt RED has just released its results for the first half of its fiscal year. The Polish company reported approximately 100.45 million euros in revenue, an increase of nearly 25% year-over-year.

Last July, the studio reported having sold 40 million copies of Cyberpunk 2077. To date, the “Phantom Liberty” expansion has sold more than 15 million copies worldwide (as of September 2, 2026). For co-CEO Michał Nowakowski, the value of the franchise now extends "far beyond the game itself."

In addition, CD Projekt RED had 1,045 employees as of July 31, 2026, an increase of 70 since April 30, 2026. The breakdown shows that The Witcher 4 employs 519 staff members (+6 compared to July) and Cyberpunk 2 has 184 developers (+21). Project Sirius, the The Witcher multiplayer game, has 84 employees (+1); the new Project Hadar franchise has 33 (+9); corporate services have 196 employees (+23); and other projects have 30 (+11).

Finally, Nowakowski noted that starting in 2026, three The Witcher titles will be released through 2028. He added that other games related to the franchise have yet to be announced. The Songs of the Past DLC has surpassed 900,000 wishlists.

"Three consecutive years, three major releases, each bigger than the last, and a unified universe. And I want to be clear, this isn’t the complete list of what we’re working on in this universe."
