Ilari Kuittinen, co-founder of Housemarque (Saros, Returnal), is leaving the studio after 31 years
It seems that following the release of Saros last April, Housemarque is undergoing a big change within its teams. Ilari Kuittinen, who co-founded the Finnish studio in 1995, has decided to leave.
The PlayStation-owned developer confirmed the news in a lengthy statement. Kuittinen said he will be taking a break from his career starting in September. He will, however, remain connected to the industry through various events. Sami "Haxu" Hakala, the former deputy general manager, took over on July 1.
Housemarque is behind numerous video games recognized within the industry, such as Dead Nation, Resogun, Super Stardust HD, and Returnal.
