The next Xbox is still a long way off. In fact, the memory shortage and the resulting surge in prices could have a significant impact on the pricing of future consoles. Of course, XBOX head Asha Sharma is well aware of this issue.

The head of XBOX gave an interview to the BBC at Gamescom. During the interview, she couldn’t dodge a question about Project Helix. Without giving too much away, she explained that it will be a "family of devices" rather than a single console.

It’s currently difficult to know exactly what Sharma means by that. Could we have a choice between several consoles with different configurations and price points? Will a handheld console be in the works? What’s certain is that XBOX wants to reach as many gamers as possible.
