The Witcher 4 will be released in 2028
CD Projekt RED decided to speak out a few hours before Gamescom 2026 to discuss the future of the The Witcher series, and we just got a big announcement.
First of all, while the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past DLC will be featured at the German trade show this week, this won’t be the case for The Witcher 4. The Polish studio’s co-CEO, Michał Nowakowski, explained that this is the most ambitious title in CD Projekt RED’s history. Therefore, there is still a lot of work to be done before the game can be properly unveiled.
While the developer is not yet able to reveal more details, it has confirmed that The Witcher 4 is targeting a 2028 release. Further information will be provided at a later date.
