Sony is reportedly preventing a brazilian retailer from offering Marvel's Wolverine at a discounted price

Sony is clearly no longer in the business of making friends! The Japanese company is now accused of blocking sales of Marvel’s Wolverine on a Brazilian website.

A retailer called The Gamer Hut, which sells online via the Shopee platform, revealed that it had received "an external request" demanding that it prevent the use of coupons to purchase the upcoming Insomniac Games title at a discounted price.

The retailer clarified that the request did not come from Shopee, suggesting it was issued directly by PlayStation. As a result, The Gamer Hut has decided to stop selling Marvel’s Wolverine altogether.

"It’s important to note that Shopee did not create this requirement. To proceed with the pre-sale, we would have to agree to remove this benefit for our customers, and we do not accept this condition.

Consequently, we have chosen to end the pre-sale of Marvel’s Wolverine on Shopee, rather than prevent consumers from taking advantage of a legitimate benefit offered by the platform."
