The initial rumors were correct, as we’ve just received confirmation of the actor who will play Kratos in the TV series ** God of War**.

Variety reports that Dave Bautista will replace Ryan Hurst in the lead role of the adaptation. As a reminder, Hurst had suffered an injury during filming. Production was therefore halted pending the hiring of a new actor for the project. Filming is expected to resume from scratch in 2027.

Bautista has appeared in Spectre, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Dune.
