Here's another look at the multiplayer mode for STAR WARS: Galactic Racer
Fans of racing games and Star Wars will be able to combine their two passions with STAR WARS: Galactic Racer. The title from Fuse Games will be available on consoles and PC this October 6, and is back with a new preview.
Several media outlets had the opportunity to try out the game’s multiplayer mode ahead of launch. The VGC website, for example, offers over nine minutes of gameplay footage. This provides a chance to watch various online multiplayer races.
Additionally, an interview with Matt Webster, CEO and co-founder of Fuse Games, was posted shortly thereafter. He was asked, in particular, about the absence of Anakin Skywalker in the game. The reason is simple: it was necessary to maintain a certain level of consistency with the franchise. STAR WARS: Galactic Racer takes place after the events of the original trilogy.
"The thing there is, we need to be accurate, but that’s okay when you have experts. We don’t recreate the Boonta Eve Classic as it appeared in Episode 1, because the outcome of that race is decided. But there’s other ways we can use those inspirations and those moments in creative and interesting ways.
Who knows where things will take us. You’ve seen the characters that are available to you right now. What is true is that launch will be a moment, and we’re keen to bring new things to the game post-launch."
