A Star Citizen live turns into a disaster because the many bugs
On August 5, Cloud Imperium Games hosted a livestream for Star Citizen to showcase the PvE event Siege of Orison. However, what should have been a routine livestream ended up being a nightmare.
In fact, the four developers tasked with giving viewers a preview of this demo encountered numerous glitches during their session. Weapon and inventory management proved chaotic, leading the squad to lose the game less than two hours into the livestream.
In the wake of this stinging defeat, the livestream was abruptly cut off. The tension was palpable throughout the session, and passive-aggressive exchanges between studio members even began to surface. Viewers were unsparing in their criticism of this demonstration, which was an absolute disaster in nearly every respect. The VOD remains available on Star Citizen’s YouTube channel.
It just goes to show that developing a video game remains difficult even after raising over a billion dollars from players…
