Sony hasn't set a release date for the PS6 yet
Last May, Sony’s CEO stated that the company did not yet know the launch date for its next console. Today, the Japanese company isn’t any closer to a decision.
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Hiroki Totoki discussed the changes taking place within his company. Going forward, Sony intends to focus more on entertainment and less on electronics.
As for the PS6, the manufacturer is still at an impasse and has not yet set a release date. This is due to the ongoing shortage of components (particularly memory) that appears to be thwarting Sony’s plans.
Analysts had suggested the PS6 would arrive around late 2027 or early 2028. Nothing is certain at this point.
