The week begins with some very sad news, as we have just learned of the passing of Hayden Panettiere.

The 36-year-old American actress, best known for her roles in the TV series Heroes and Nashville, as well as in the Scream films, also appeared in several video games. For example, she voiced Kairi in Kingdom Hearts and Sam in Until Dawn.

Her spokesperson issued the following statement to ABC.

"It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen."
