The leaks were correct, and Aspyr has just announced and released The Lord of the Rings: War in the North – Legacy Edition on PS4, PS5, XBOX One, XBOX Series, Switch, Switch 2, and PC.

It is priced at €19.50 on PC (€17.55 through August 25), €23.99 on PlayStation (€21.59 for PlayStation Plus subscribers), and €19.99 on Xbox (€17.99 at launch). The Switch and Switch 2 versions were not yet available at the time of this writing.

The Lord of the Rings: War in the North is an action-RPG originally released in 2011. This new version is the original game with higher resolution and an improved frame rate of up to 60 FPS. The rendering of vegetation and certain textures has also been optimized. However, this rather minimalist remaster doesn’t include any significant changes.
