The pre-orders for GTA VI have been open since June 25, and there’s a trend on the matter. Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, was once again asked about sales of the Rockstar title on CNBC.

The executive revealed that players have shown greater preference for the €100 Ultimate Edition over the €80 Standard Edition. However, Zelnick declined to read too much into this, explaining that this trend could simply highlight the fact that the most passionate customers prefer to opt for the most extensive version.

"This may be a reflection again of the fact that the most avid consumers are the ones who are pre-ordering."

Finally, the Take-Two executive reiterated that pre-orders have exceeded the company’s expectations.
