Since its theatrical release in late July, the movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day has grossed $1.67 billion at the global box office. This massive hit has also reignited interest in the latest video game from Insomniac Games.

In fact, Alinea Analytics reports that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has sold an additional 316,000 copies since Brand New Day hit theaters. It has generated $11 million on PS5 in two weeks. Physical sales accounted for 20% of total sales during this period. Last weekend, the PlayStation title climbed to over one million daily active users. This represents a 2.6-fold increase in engagement compared to before the movie’s release.

Since its launch in October 2023, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has sold 18.2 million units worldwide, with over 92% of those sales on PS5. The game has generated $1.2 billion on its own.
