Here’s yet another glaring example of the limitations imposed by digital games. Released in April 2023, the Switch version of Aliens: Fireteam Elite has been permanently delisted.

This version available exclusively via the cloud was sold for €29.99 on the eShop. There was an Ultimate Edition including all DLC for €59.99. Since Cold Iron Studios has removed the game from the store, those who had the opportunity to purchase it can simply no longer access it. No refunds are currently being offered as of this writing.

With the cloud servers now shut down, there is no longer any way to play the third-person cooperative shooter on Switch. Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will be released as a native Switch 2 title this fall.
