The release of financial reports has certainly revealed a lot of information this year. Today, the focus is on the famous mobile game Pokémon TCG Pocket, which, as it turns out, isn’t quite as famous as it used to be.

Originally released in 2024, the game’s popularity appears to have declined significantly. The published results show a fairly significant decline in revenue and profits for DeNA, the company behind the mobile game. To give some figures, there were 39 million daily active players in the same quarter last year, compared to 23 million in the first quarter of 2026—a drop of just over 40%.

DeNA is therefore planning changes to better retain its users, including introducing more in-game events and promotions.
