The Switch 2 version of FINAL FANTASY XIV Online just came out this week and is unfortunately experiencing a technical issue. Of course, Square Enix has officially addressed the matter.

The issue involves abnormally long loading times when moving into an area with a large number of characters. There’s an update already planned to fix this bug, but in the meantime, reloading data and clearing the cache may be necessary for the game to run properly.

Here are the specific situations in which the problem may occur:

• When the screen goes black during a combat phase transition or when you are teleported to another map inside a dungeon
• When the screen goes black during resurrection after being defeated in a dungeon
• When the screen goes black after using Warp or Aethernet in a dungeon

The next update will include additional fixes.
