The first full week of August has Game Freak’s new game, Beast of Reincarnation. The zany Big Walk will also make its debut alongside the fighting game Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls.

Available on PC since December 2022, this title blending exploration and farm sim is finally coming to consoles. You’ll be able to customize your farm, run a business, fight monsters, and even start a family.

Beast of Reincarnation

Game Freak is back with a brand-new franchise with this action-RPG in which a woman and her dog engage in battles that blend turn-based and real-time combat. The game is set in a stunning post-apocalyptic Japan in the year 4026.

Big Walk

• August 4, 2026 on PS5, Switch 2, and PC

The creators of Untitled Goose Game are back with yet another totally wacky concept. This online coop walking game plunges us into a vast open world filled with challenges and puzzles. You’ll need to communicate with your team to overcome the obstacles.

Korea. IL-2 Series

This playable flight simulator with VR support lets you take part in the Korean War aboard fighter planes from that era. You’ll be able to participate in legendary dogfights.

Fields of Mistria

• August 5, 2026 on version 1.0 for PC

This farming and dating sim has been available in Early Access since August 2024, and is finally getting a 1.0 release this week. Players will build their farm in a magical world full of nostalgia.

Parkasaurus

• August 5, 2026 on PS5, XBOX Series X|S, and Switch 2

In this game, you’ll design, plan, and build a dinosaur-themed amusement park. Unlike Jurassic Park, the atmosphere is much more laid-back. You’ll discover new technologies, create unique attractions, and forge a special bond with these creatures of yesteryear.

Akatori

Get ready for an epic Metroidvania where you’ll traverse seven stunning, colorful biomes brimming with secrets. Armed with just her staff, our heroine sets off on an adventure through a kingdom spanning different eras. Of course, she’ll have to face some formidable foes on the way.

The Division Resurgence

Ubisoft’s free-to-play RPG is coming to Steam. It features the same looter-shooter formula with tactical combat that can be played solo or with friends. Each mission offers great rewards.

Lies of P: Complete Edition

• August 5, 2026 on Switch 2

NEOWIZ’s Souls-like game is coming to the Nintendo console as a Complete Edition. It includes the base game and its standalone expansion, Lies of P: Overture. The entire package has, of course, been optimized for the Switch 2.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls

• August 6, 2026 on PS5 and PC

This 2D 4-on-4 fighting game brings together legendary Marvel superheroes for epic showdowns. At launch, the roster features no fewer than 20 heroes, each with unique moves and abilities.

IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator

This is a dieselpunk artillery game in which you’ll need to dominate the battlefield using a massive war machine. Once the coordinates are received, you’ll need to prepare the cannons to fire by following a very specific procedure.

ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs

We’re invited to open a small electronics repair shop in Tokyo in the 2000s. We’ll have to repair game consoles, cell phones, and even old cameras to keep customers happy. Customers will also share their personal stories.

Sovereign Tower

This management RPG puts you in command of a sovereign of a magical tower. You must recruit knights, assign them quests, manage their egos, and shape the future of an entire kingdom.

GRAIN ROT

• August 7, 2026 on PC

We’re nearing the end with this cooperative horror game featuring building and resource-gathering elements. You’ll explore ruins with friends and gather as many resources as possible by dismantling furniture. But watch out for the Corrupted, who will try to eliminate your small team.

Expeditions: Samurai

Finally, we wrap up with this classic RPG set in Japan on the brink of a civil war. The Sengoku period serves as the backdrop for this tactical role-playing game in which your choices will shape the story.
