The Stellar Blade franchise has managed to become extremely popular with only one entry. There’s a lot of hype for the sequel, Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, which was announced at Summer Game Fest last June.

While the game’s development will still take some time, Shift Up has decided to keep its community engaged with content related to this new project. In particular, the South Korean studio has released music composed for the second installment.

It’s in this context that the music video for Wanna be in LOVE was uploaded to YouTube. In it, we see the heroine, Evie, singing in various in-game settings. However, a credit at the end of the video did not sit well with fans. The logo for Shift Up’s A.I. Labs department appears at the very end of the clip. This obviously means that generative AI was used to create the clip. Given its visual style, this revelation isn’t exactly surprising.

As a result, there has been a flood of scathing comments have appeared on YouTube. It remains to be seen whether Stellar Blade: Blood Rain will also use AI in its development.
