Over the years, Todd Howard has become an iconic figure in the video game industry. After joining Bethesda in 1994, the 55-year-old creative director and producer has overseen iconic titles such as Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim.

In addition to leading ambitious projects like Fallout 76 and Starfield recently, Howard has also served as a producer on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle as well as the Fallout TV series. It’s a busy schedule that he has no plans to give up.

In fact, Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier asked Todd Howard if he had ever thought about retiring. While the idea crossed his mind at a specific point in time, he currently has no intention of hanging up his hat.

"The truth is there was a period of time a while back where I pondered what does it look like? Not is it imminent, but what does it look like? And I no longer do.

I see the work we’re doing. I just love it. I love working with these people. It’s really not something I think about.

Some people in our industry who are a little older than me are also doing great things. So, it’s not something I’ve thought about. "

Now, Todd Howard is focused on The Elder Scrolls VI while preparing for the future of Fallout on both TV and in video games.
