EA Sports FC has correctly predicted the World Cup winner for the fifth consecutive time

Electronic Arts is on an impressive streak when it comes to predicting the World Cup winner. Since 2010, the American company has been using its football sim to pick the tournament’s winner before the start of each edition.

On June 6, after simulating the tournament’s matches, EA Sports FC 26 had predicted Spain as the winner of the 2026 World Cup. And indeed, "La Roja" has defeated Argentina 1-0 in the final on July 19.

This marks the fifth consecutive time that EA has accurately predicted the World Cup winner using its football game.
