Halo: Campaign Evolved requires a download and an internet connection to play
Nowadays, this is nothing out of the ordinary, since many games use this method, but Halo: Campaign Evolved mandates a download to launch. This requirement applies to both the digital edition (which makes sense) and the physical edition.
The Does it play? X account confirms that the remake won’t launch until a mandatory download is completed. This isn’t simply a restriction to prevent spoilers before release, but rather additional data that wasn’t included on the disc. An internet connection is therefore required when launching the game for the first time.
Worse still, an additional connection would be required through the game’s own interface, which could mean that Halo: Campaign Evolved would be completely unplayable without an internet connection, even after downloading the required data.
