Resident Evil : Capcom may be planning more story-driven DLCs

Capcom is enjoying a golden age where everything is going its way. Successes keep coming, whether it’s sequels, new franchises, or remakes. However, the Japanese company is also looking to increase its consistency when it comes to DLCs.

According to insider Dusk Golem, the publisher is planning to create more story-driven DLCs for its Resident Evil franchise. These additions are expected to be relatively lengthy, offering several extra hours of gameplay, similar to « Separate Ways » from Resident Evil 4 or « Shadow of Rose » from Resident Evil Village.

Capcom wants to use these DLCs to create side stories that may be experimental in nature. They will also help fill the gaps in the release schedule between two major Resident Evil titles.

Finally, Dusk Golem also stated that the narrative DLC for Requiem could be released after Resident Evil Veronica. The latter is set to arrive in 2027.
