Yet another rise in memory prices is to be expected before the year ends
The bad news keeps coming when it comes to memory prices. While some brands, such as Micron, plan to freeze the (already very high) RAM prices, the upward trend is unfortunately expected to continue in the coming months.
According to Jefferies Equity Research, memory prices will see yet another increase of around 40 to 50% in the third quarter of 2026 compared to the current quarter. In the fourth quarter, a further increase of 30 to 40% is expected. This surge is projected to be 40 to 45% year-over-year.
A decline of 15 to 20% could occur in 2028 thanks to the addition of new capacity.
