GTA VI will be optimized for PS5 Pro
Pre-orders for GTA VI are now open, and New Zealand players are, as is often the case, the first to have access thanks to the time zone.
One detail hasn’t escaped the attention of the most observant. First of all, Sony recently described the game as “best on PS5” in a press release:
"Thanks to the close partnership between Sony Interactive Entertainment and Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto VI will play best on PS5 by taking advantage of PS5’s immersive features to deliver a deeply engaging single-player experience when it launches on November 19."
Now let’s get to the most important detail. The PlayStation Store update revealed the Optimized for PS5 Pro label. As of now, it’s still unclear exactly how the PS5 Pro version will be better, but it’s now confirmed that the game will indeed feature enhancements on this console.
If it follows the same path as Resident Evil Requiem, we can expect better image quality and performance thanks to PSSR. Many players would appreciate being able to play GTA VI at a steady 60 fps, with a resolution close to 4K.
