EA's President of Business Development Laura Miele believes AI sparks a surge in creativity

At a time when discussions about AI are everywhere, Laura Miele’s remarks did not go unnoticed. During Game Business Live, EA’s President of Business Development made some interesting remarks. She stated:

"I’ve always wanted… to help our studio developers remove obstacles, and I’ve always wanted to be a bit of a role model for them and help them create experiences that will leave a mark on their careers […] And I find AI—based on what I’ve seen—and the way it has helped eliminate barriers in our processes, tools, and workflows, to be truly exciting."

Another interesting point is worth noting, again regarding the use of AI.

"It has helped streamline their work; I’ve seen faster prototyping, increased creativity, and shorter, more efficient discussions about creativity and reaching consensus. I find that exciting. I think creativity is truly stimulated by the simplification of development tasks."

These comments follow a statement from EA at the end of 2025, which encouraged employees to use AI for "pretty much everything," giving examples such as code creation, administrative work, and even… "preparing conversations with direct reports on sensitive topics such as compensation and promotions."
