The XBOX port of No Rest for the Wicked will come out later because of the Series S
During this week’s State of Play, Moon Studios announced that version 1.0 of No Rest for the Wicked will launch in October 2026 on PS5 and PC. Switch 2 and Xbox players will have to wait a bit longer.
On the game’s Discord server, Thomas Mahler, director and co-founder of Moon Studios, addressed this delayed release. He explained that this is due to optimization issues, with the Xbox Series S specifically cited as a challenge.
"The Series S is makig that rough. We’ll ship it after in a good way once it’s optimized like crazy for Switch 2 and Xbox."
In response to a user, Mahler went so far as to state that "Series S and mobile specs aren’t too far apart at this point."
