NetEase may sell Quantic Dream in the middle of developing Star Wars: Eclipse
Quantic Dream’s future may be hanging by a thread. The French studio recently suffered quite a big setback with Spellcasters Chronicles, which will shut down its servers on June 19. The company is then expected to lay off approximately 95 employees.
In a podcast, Insider Gaming journalist Mike Straw revealed that NetEase may be looking to sell Quantic Dream before the end of the year. The Chinese giant acquired the developer of Detroit: Become Human back in August 2022.
Meanwhile, development of Star Wars Eclipse reportedly remains very chaotic. The game was announced in December 2021.
