SEGA will soon release a film adaptation of Streets of Rage. Today, Variety has revealed part of the creative team behind the project.

Production company Lionsgate has signed on screenwriters Pat Casey and Josh Miller. At Paramount Pictures, the two men notably excelled on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. They are therefore already well-versed in adapting video games into feature films.

As for directing, the task has been entrusted to Jeymes Samuel (The Harder They Fall, The Book of Clarence).
