The release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 in October will bring significant changes to Call of Duty: Warzone.

In a blog post, Activision announced that Season 1 of Warzone will feature content from Modern Warfare 4. This first season will launch shortly after the game’s release on October 23.

What’s more, this is when Call of Duty: Warzone will no longer be playable on PS4 and Xbox One. Starting June 4, the game will no longer be available for download for new players on these platforms. Warzone will, of course, remain playable until Season 1.

Finally, starting June 25, the in-game store will be removed on these platforms. Players will still be able to progress through the levels of the free Battle Pass and unlock new weapons in the remaining seasons of Black Ops 7.
