The Witcher 3 has sold over 65 million copies
After celebrating its 11th anniversary in style with the announcement of the Songs of the Past expansion for 2027, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has just reached a new milestone.
While detailing its financial results, CD Projekt confirmed that it has sold over 65 million copies of its open-world action-RPG, which launched in May 2015. The title remains ranked eighth among the best-selling games of all time.
Additionally, the Polish studio reported revenue of approximately €45.2 million for the first quarter of 2026. Consolidated net profit reached approximately €25 million. These strong results stem from sales of the company’s flagship titles and their inclusion in services such as Xbox Game Pass.
CD Projekt also provided an update on its workforce, which now stands at 975 employees (+42 compared to the previous quarter). Specifically, 513 developers are working on The Witcher 4 (+14), 163 on Cyberpunk 2 (+14), 83 on Project Sirius (+12), and 24 on the new franchise Project Hadar (-2). Finally, 173 employees are working on the company’s services (+4) and 19 in other areas.
